JUSTIN JARRELL is a singer, songwriter, and entertainer. Fans of his pop/synth/rock style have described Justinʼs music as modern, top 40. Justinʼs debut album was released October 2nd, 2020. Justin is currently set to release his 2nd studio album early summer of 2022. From his second studio album, the first single released on April 15th, 2022 was the remake of “Total Eclipse Of The Heart”. His music has been referred to as “upbeat and catchy”. Audiences have referred to Justinʼs soaring vocals as “captivating”. His high energy and commanding stage presence leaves the listener with a feel-good, make-you-want-to-dance vibe. In addition to performing original music, Justin also performs popular cover songs during his live performances. He’s also covered songs on his albums by artists such as: Celine Dion, Bonnie Tyler, Adele, and Tina Turner.
When asked how his performances can embody so much energy and passion, Justin says, “At a young age I discovered the power of music and how it made me feel. Thatʼs when I was hooked. Music has the ability to transport people somewhere else when theyʼre listening, I want to create music that does that. Whether someone is by their self listening to music or at one of my live shows, I want my music to touch them.”
When asked about the music industry today, the singer expressed the difficulty and challenges artists experience when trying to break through in today’s music industry. The singer elaborates “We live in a new age where artists are now required to become experts in so many different areas besides their music. Managers/PR groups want you to join the latest social media craze, create Tic Tok videos, post on instagram, etc. If you don’t have a team working for you to do those things, it’s impossible as you’re still responsible for creating new music, performing, recording, etc. It’s interesting to me that artists are being evaluated and potentially passed up by booking companies, venues, record labels, etc. based on their social media presence instead of their music.”
You don’t have to look far as to where Justin’s talent came from, as the artist grew up in a musical family. Justin's mom and her three sisters were gospel singers in the ‘70s and '80s and released five gospel albums and toured throughout the United States and Canada. Justin was born and raised in the Midwest. Coming from a musical family, allowed him to develop and perfect his musical abilities at a young age. Being a rarity in music, Justin doesn’t read music and has the unique ability to play whatever he hears on the piano.
